Apartment building

The house is designed as part of a residential group. The creation of a clearly defined internal courtyard space between the houses is essential. This creates a quiet zone while maintaining the urban character. Traffic ends “outside the gates” of the estate. The car can be parked either in a parking space or in a garage partially buried in the hillside.
The apartment building is unbasement and has five floors. The core of the house is a stair hall with a single staircase. In the part of the ground floor elevated to the ground there are two apartments. On the other area of 1np there is a laundry with drying room, room for bicycles and prams, storage rooms, heating. The typical floor i.e. 2nd,3rd and 4th floor always contains 4 flats accessed from the stair hall. Two smaller two-bedroom flats of almost identical size and two larger three-bedroom flats of the same size.On the top floor a luxury five-bedroom flat is designed in addition to a studio and a three-bedroom flat of medium size.
The stair hall is illuminated from above, its material and color solution- light tiles and white plaster.
The geometrization of the facades with one type of window openings supports the overall design and makes the forms of the cube of masonry stand out, while at the same time the structure of the masonry also contains a small scale that softens any hints of monumentality. The cut masonry is complemented by titanium-zinc sheet metal details, stainless steel railings and grey-coloured paving in the parterre.
