The last farewell path leads out of the ceremonial hall, where the funeral procession leaves.

At the junction of the last road and the existing road, a path runs up the hillside to the memorial meadow. The area of the meadow is landscaped. It is defined by two circles. The inner circle is slightly recessed.The terrain rises from the inner circle to the outer circle, which is bordered by sakura trees. There is a dirt path around the perimeter of the inner circle. There is space for a meadow in the centre and in the sloping part.
During the last farewell ceremony ‘in the ground’, a white cloth blind is drawn across the entire glazed wall of the north elevation in the main hall behind the catafalque. At the end of the ceremony, a rainbow appears on the white surface. Symbolism of the passing of the soul of the deceased. The blind lifts. A view of green flower meadows and another path opens up. The glass sliding doors open automatically. The funeral procession with the coffin takes the final farewell route to the grave.
